Sajam

Diri diri din din rin tin tin.

Sva ni zoro zarudi
pa mi dragu probudi.

Gremo skupa na tanac,
Kupit ćemo organac,
Obać ćemo saki bančić,
Kupit ću ti zlatni lančić,
I rećine moja mića
Kupit ću ti petešića.

Sope mali organac,
Za vrti se natanac.

Noga lupa leti prah,
Nosić frče crući dah,
Zagrli me čvršće jaće,
Dvoje mladih tanac skaće,
Va srcih nam cvate srića,
Kupili smo petešića.

Petešić je nabori,
Srve srcu govori.

Rekli su mi twoja mat,
Da te mi te darovat,
Ove zime o božići,
Va ton šaron kožunići,
Zet ću te ja mo-ja mića,
A za dotu petešića.

Diri diri din din rin tin tin.
Kupit ću ti petešića!
The Fair

Diri diri din din rin tin tin.

When the dawn began to break
Then my dearest did awake.

Let's go dancing at the fair,
Buy a small harmonica there,
Every booth shall take our eye,
A golden necklace we shall buy,
With earrings too, and best of all
A splendid golden cockerel.

Spin and dance the day along,
Play, harmonica, our song.

Kick the dust with stomping feet
Hot breath rises with each beat.
Hug me tightly, stronger still,
Two young dancers dance a reel,
We're so happy, we could crow
Like the rooster we own now.

Rooster sits there on a tree,
Heart to heart sings happily.

We shall tell your mother dear,
We will give to her this year
At Christmas time, in winter coat,
A lovely little nanny goat.
Her son-in-law for you I'll be
Just like that rooster on the tree.

Diri diri din din rin tin tin,
Buy a golden rooster!
